This leg with its long upper post is typically used on tables that incorporate a fair amount of casework in their construction. At 38" tall, servers or sideboards made with this leg are impressive in that they feature a large case, yet remain visually light and elegant at the floor. Server variations include bow front, drawer front or both drawers/doors in the front.
