French farm furniture is earthy, relaxed and practical. This dining table leg on this base, expertly crafted in our Vermont woodshop, is both shapely and sturdy. The base features pronounced contrast between the thick and thin parts of the leg turning. The base, with an attractive beaded apron, is scaled for table tops of about 1" thickness. When calculating the size of your base, be sure to allow for the table top's overhang.

Our EasyBases (patent pending) rely on an ingenous interlocking system for a base that anyone can put together in minutes with just the supplied Allen (hex) wrench. Bases for traditional joinery use mortise and tenon construction, require glue, clamps and some DIY skill. This kind of base cannot be disassembled after gluing. Either system will result in a strong, rigid and durable table that will last for generations.

Aprons: 4, 4" high beaded aprons with tenons, cut to length, with pocket holes for mounting the table top
