Federal Dining Table Base, 29 Inch Large Fluted Leg

Classic Federal styling on a larger scale. Appropriate for heftier dining tables, the leg design of this base fits contemporary and historical settings—timeless and elegant, and a distinctly American look with European accents. You might see the style also described as neoclassical or even American neoclassical, which took root in the Federalist period of the late 18th and early 19th centuries and continues today. We specialize in fluting and spiral fluting of table legs—and the carved fluting on the legs of this base add rich detail, visual interest and a bit of formality. When calculating the size of your base, be sure to allow for the table top's overhang. 

This leg is sized for table tops of around 1" thickness. Choose EasyBase assembly or traditional joinery. Our EasyBases (patent pending) rely on an ingenous interlocking system for a base that anyone can put together in minutes with just the supplied Allen (hex) wrench. Bases for traditional joinery use mortise and tenon construction, require glue, clamps and some DIY skill. This kind of base cannot be disassembled after gluing. Either system will result in a strong, rigid and durable table that will last for generations.

• Aprons: 4, 4" high beaded aprons with tenons, cut to length, with pocket holes for mounting the table top
• Mounting screws to attach your table top
• Assembly instructions
